179 • A very artistic and musical performance: you could clearly see it by the exorbitant movements of the self-indulgent pianist.

136 • Class: Try to prove or disprove this statement:

There are statements that can not be proved or disproved by specific examples because they are entirely abstract. Like this statement.

The reason for the "modern artists" to let it all hang out is: that's the only thing left to the Emperor without clothes.

86 • Tauromachian Bull

Saturday, May 21st, 2011

A modern music composition combining aleatoric, spatio-temporal, biological automatism, as well as action arts.

Instructions: A shiny (German? They so like Joseph Beuys!) black concert grand piano is on stage (sustain pedal fixed down), no bench; a well fed, jet black shiny, muscular tauromachian bull is lead on stage towards the piano and positioned with its back side towards and on-top of the keyboard, tail raised and gracing the strings. Then there shall be a waiting period (tacet) of approximately 43:30 until the animal has a bowel movement. The excrements are presumably big and heavy enough to depress the keys and produce sounds.

As title I am undecided between "mystical interference 1952" and, much more to the point, "Bullshit".
Second half of the concert: Beethoven's op. 111. Provide bench, new piano, and a no-bullshit pianist.

82 • Not what has been done at the instrument, but what could be done …

Friday, May 20th, 2011

Let us enter a concert hall stage and stand in awe before the grand piano. More than the memories, history, and achievements of this ultimate manifestation of human spirit, talent, and labor, it is the horizon of infinite possibilities and unlimited potential opening up in front and in the future which strikes wonder and humility into my heart.

A little OCD: Not a bad thing for our profession.
